Lean Expert Kwinn Joins Wade&Partners

Simplified Approaches Provide ‘Street Level’ Process Guides for Manufacturers and Distributors

Click for Larger Image(January 22, 2009) Elgin, IL: Process improvement expert Dave Kwinn has joined Wade&Partners to provide a new resource for application of Lean and Kaizen in manufacturing, distribution, engineering and financial functions.

“Dave is extremely skilled and forward thinking in the processes involved in change management, program conceptualization, planning and organization, said Bill Wade. “His ability to lead in new situations, define new work processes, collaborate with all relevant functions and levels, while completing projects at an accelerated pace fits well with our mix of advanced management tools.”.

Kwinn is Black Belt and broadly experienced in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen. His recent international work experience includes extensive work in China, Europe, Mexico, South America, New Zealand and Australia.  He is fluent in Spanish, a major benefit when addressing shop and warehouse improvements both in the US and Mexico.

Assignments have included kanban implementation, plant and DC relocations, sales inventory operations planning, collection processes, business assessments and order entry. Wade concluded that “we have seen the potential for the application of these concepts in the administrative and distribution aspects of the aftermarket for some time. I am pleased that we can offer this expertise to new clients without the usual attendant over complication.’

“These concepts are neither philosophical nor ‘religious’ as some claim. At their core, they are relatively simple, but results are completely dependant on competent execution. That is what we do,” concluded Kwinn.

Kwinn will be publishing frequent articles. Seminars and web blogs are also being planned.

Kwinn holds an MBA in Marketing from DePaul University, as well as a Ph.D. and MA in English from Cornell University and BA from the University of Illinois.
